I purchased a Home Protection policy from Arkidus. They seemed legitimate. The representative told me that if I paid by credit card in full that day I would get a discount, plus another discount for my spouse being in the military. I thought this was a great deal. I was wrong. When my air condition went down on 8/11, I called the company to request a service call. I have been calling for five days now and the line is always busy. I sent an email on the website as instructed and no return call. Upon further investigation on the internet, I noticed numerous complaints from other consumers who have be SCAMMED by this company. I believed they preyed on me when I mentioned my spouse is deployed to Afghanistan, hence I would get another discount! Now, I'm out my money and trying to work with my credit card company. I am willing to be part of a class action suit. I have filed with the FTC, BBB, and the Florida Division of Insurance. Does anyone know if they are still in business? I have also sent a request for a refund, but really doubt I will get one. Unhappy Consumer!
