Actually done to Boyfriend, property was sold as is, when inspected, alll was fine, after accepted, key was stolen, door left open copper pipes stolen before he took posession. They say not their pro

My Boyfriend purchased a home in Fairlawn Ohio. It was an estate sale so it was sold as is. We understand that, but, after liking the house with all of it's faults and having it inspected. The Realtor called and stated that the lock box was gone, and so was the only existing key. She also stated the door was wide open, but after Her inspection, all was well, and She would drive by the property and check on it from time to time until He took possession. He took possession a few weeks later on a Friday,

We both went there after the work day to begin measurements etc... I kept looking for the washer hook up because I had seen them before and I wanted to measure the space. It was then that He noticed the pipes were all cut out. A Police report was filed that night, the Realtor was contacted the following day. There side said since the house was sold as is, they are not responsible. The point is, the house was accepted with all of the plumbing intact (as is). The security was breached on their watch. My Boyfriends insurance should not be held liable.
