I lived at Green River Townhomes for 1 year. While i was living there, I had no a.C. For 7 of the 12 months. Of the 7 months with no a.C., 5 were among the hotest months of the year (May-Sept.).
When the a.C. Went out, it took two weeks just for a maintenance man to come and look at it. I went round and round with the manager about this for the following two weeks because they couldn't fix the problem. While I had no a.C., I told the manager at the time they would recieve no rent until it was fixed and working properly.
Two years later, they decide that I owe them back rent and are filing it as a bad debt on my credit report. I think this is very unprofessional of them now and two years ago. I don't understand how some businesses are able to conduct their everday business in this manner. It looks as though I'll be fighting this to the bitter end. Take my advice, stay away from Green River Townhomes.
