I received a call from "Danny Murphy" saying that our company had a bill that was 113 days past due. When I informed him that we do not use the yellow pages or any type of advertising since we have a private contract with The Home Depot he got very aggressive and said that he could play a recording where someone authorized the publication. He played it, which to me, was in no way a contract agreement. It seemed like our employee was only verifying information that he was being asked. It was kind of like being tricked into it. I told Danny that our employee was never informed that he was actually being signed up for anything. He said this was a verbal agreement and had to be paid. I told him that I would have the President of the company call him.
He called again yesterday and got very agressive right away, I hung up on him. The actual employee that is on the recording said that half of the conversation was deleted and that the conversation was chopped off.
The company president called the number today and was asking for a supervisor. He kept getting the run around (they were very unprofessional). He was finally transfered to extention 419 and got a recording. He left a very long detailed message about how they were a scam. We have not heard from them yet. Does anyone know who we can contact for help... They are a total scam!!
