This company is part of the Smart Circle pyrmaid scheme in which you make LESS THAN MINIMUM WAGE! The company lures you in with big talk аbout: "unlimited income potential, " "own your own business in less than a year, " etc., etc., etc. This is simply not true.
An accurate job description is as follows:
You are required to attend "motivational" meetings at 7001 Menaul at 8am in the morning which are scheduled to last one hour. You are told to show up 20-30 minutes early every single day which you are not paid to do. The meeting usually runs over about 30-45 minutes, and when you indicate the accurate time the meeting ended on your timecard, the "leaders" of this office to tell you to write down less than the amount of time that you worked.
You start off every single day being short changed about 1.5 hours. This is called "time card skimming" which is highly illegal for employers to do. During the "motivational" meetings you are lectured on Smart Circle company values, and if you disagree or question a single point, the owner of Imperial Marketing Group, Jeff Sanchez is verbally abusive toward you.
You then wait anywhere from 2-4 hours to work your scheduled shift at Sam's Club, which you are told to show up 20-30 minutes early for in order to set up. You are not paid to show up 20-30 minutes early for set-up. So guess what? Even more time card skimming!
You work anywhere from 8-12 hours on your feet behind a table at Sam's Club selling medicore products to Sam's Club members. You are instructed take short breaks, which does not give you adequate time to have a proper meal.
You are told to do labor on your breaks such as preparing product for sale, unpacking and doing inventory of product, and LIFTING OF HEAVY BOXES. You are told to stay after your scheduled shift TO get ready for the next day by preparing product for sale, which is EVEN MORE LABOR, which you are not paid to do. Imperial Marketing calls this "setting yourself up for success, " and "investing in your future with the company."
Imperial Marketing is in fact squeezing free labor out of you.
With Imperial Marketing Group, you work 12-14 hour days and only get paid approximately 70 bucks. When you express concern with any of this treatment, you are told that "this is not the job for you." So you are expected to work under illegal working conditions with your job held over your head if you do not do exactly as you are told.
Jeff Sanchez calls you on your time off and asks you to run errands for him which you are not paid to do. He especially does this to women. You are told to come into the office on your "DAY OFF" and fill out your timecard, or else you are threatened that you will not be paid. The little bit that you are paid, you are often times paid late.
You are required to do "one-on-one meetings" with Jeff Sanchez and the "leaders" of the office in which you are asked personal and intrusive questions about every aspect of your life. Guess what? You are not paid to go to these "one-on-one meetings!" Jeff Sanchez puts his nose in your personal and financial business and gives you unwanted and useless advice in a demeaning manner. If you are feeling tired due to exhaustion from working 80-100 hours a week, Jeff Sanchez gives you useless and incorrect advice on how to stay healthy. He DOES NOT have any counseling or financial education, and he certainly DOES NOT have a medical degree. On top of that, he is a very POOR and ABUSIVE manager.
You are expected to set up for the events that you work at Sam's Club the NIGHT BEFORE work which is a very labor intensive and time consuming task. And guess what? You are not paid for all of your work! You are expected to show up to the office at 7001 Menaul and carry heavy boxes up and down stairs and to your car. You are NOT given any bending and lifting training, there is NOT a dolly available for you to use, and Jeff Sanchez sits at his desk and WATCHES you work while offering no help! You can VERY EASILY permanently injure your back while setting up for these events!
Jeff Sanchez constantly talks about his "6-figure" income when in fact he earns 24k/year. Almost everybody at Imperial Marketing Group boasts about their "high salary" when in fact NOBODY at Imperial Marketing Group earns more than 24k/year with NO paid time off, NO sick leave, NO holiday pay, NO 401k, and NO medical insurance.
In fact, Jeff Sanchez encourages you to purchase medical insurance from one of his friends which in no way you can afford because you are working 80-100 hours/week and getting paid LESS THAN MINIMUM WAGE with NO time for any other activity! You are promised that if you follow the steps of this pyramid scheme, that you will earn "big money" and retire early. Guess what? LESS THAN MINIMUM WAGE!
If you get a call from Jeff Sanchez, Chelsea Robinson, Matt Johnson, Thea Evans, or Natalie Chavez, beware - they are trying to recruit you into this ugly business!!!
