They were doorknocking for re-surfacing blacktop driveways and I told them I wanted a quote. Before I knew it, he was already working on my driveway and he told me I owed him $8500.00. I could not believe it and I told him I was not going to pay it. He then got down to $3600.00 and told me if I did not pay it he was going to call the cops. I then called my financial advisor to stop payment on the check as I saw he did not even finish the job. He had already cashed check. I called the Better Business Bureau and they said they had nothing good to say about this company and person. I am a "senior" and I feel that I have been taken advantage of. I have since called the Attorney General in the State of Minnesota and they are sending me paperwork to complete my claim. I was suppose to have an estimate before they started job.
