When I started with this company, in Vernon at the time. There were many of us contiuously sick. We kept reporting that black soot was pooring out of ducts they did nothing. Within 3 weeks I had pneumonia, and from there I ended up with a chronic condition.
This company as soon a my FMLA was exhausted, and I was still sick. They did not pay but 4 sick days in 16 weeks. Since I was stil sick and followed policy, they proceeded to suspend me without pay.By this time I had lost my apartment I was greatly in debt and they did not care.
When it came to collect unemployment they stated that I didn't deserve unemployment because I was willfull misconduct.
How do they come up with that when I was still sick, they weren't paying me and fired me after one suspension. There were numerous people whom were let go after 8 suspensions.
Do not work for this company they do not care for their employees one bit. If you don't drink and party they do not want you there.
A women was fired right after me but she had FMLA still, what they did was fire her for low productivity, and said don't worry we won't fight you on Unemployment. They couldn't or they would have had a federal lawsuit. I only want what my civil right, the right to collect until I get a job. They have destroyed me financially.
