Purchased a Whirlpool Refrig/Freezer on Thursday, June 26' from Pitrillo's Appliance in Feasterville, PA. Floor Model. Needed to replace asap as old Refrigerator was 25 yrs. Old and out of commission. Lost all food from breakage of equipment and in need of new appliance asap. Took word of Petrillo that I was purchasing a floor model product and assumed it was within months of aging. Within six days new Refrigerator broke. Defrosted all food in Freezer and Frig. Had repairman come out to fix faulty switch for Condenser which was under warranty. Called Whirlpool to see if they would reimburse me $ lost in food spoilage and they said no, they did not cover for food spoilage. Asked if they could tell me based on Serial Number how old Refrig/Freezer was. Was advised made in 2008'. To my shock and amazement, and hearing in the voice of the Service Rep, Jan... She was surprised as well. When I faced owner of Petrillo's Appliance with this info regarding product that he sold me, he said that most of the Whirlpool Refrigerator's are shifted from warehouse to warehouse and that they do not move the old equipment from back to front. This is why he gets older models. I got no satisfaction from Petrillo's Appliance. I got no help what so ever with my problem and look forward to some help from this site... PLEASE!
