My daughter was in contact with the www.ipad2-clearance.com site who sounded genuine. They wouldn't accept Paypal or Visa so she paid through Western Union which I wasn't too sure about. They asked her to pay 70% and they would send the item. After paying 70% they got back to her and said that the shipping manager wouldn't send the item because a customer before her did not send the 30% when receiving the item. So she sent the extra 30% and we were given a tracking number. After a week of trying to find where the parcel was, my sister tracked it - it ended up in Spain. A long way from Australia. When we contacted them to ask if they had sent a wrong tracking number (which may have been possible) they now do not reply to any of our emails. We mentioned in these emails that we had future orders for them and once we receive the ipad we would buy more (which was true). We still have not heard from them and it has been almost two weeks now since the second 30% was sent. Yesterday we found they have opened another website, exactly the same except the background is white instead of black. The information, shipping, contact etc is the same. The new website is www.distributor-supplier.com. Since being scammed we have found other messages from others about being ripped off. What can be done about people like this. Can the police in their city be told about them. I am sure the Chinese government would like to know about how they are not paying any taxes. I have a lot more information on them if you would like it. For example they ask that when paying through the bank that we do not put that we are paying money for goods as they would not receive the money we send. I am sure they have been scamming for a long time now and I hate being ripped off. I feel very sorry for my daughter as it has taken her many weekends to save this money to buy an ipad and this is a major disappointment to her. A real life lesson which I hope can be stomped on before another person gets burnt. I have been in contact with the Chinese Consulate here in Australia to no avail, and tonight I tried to find a number to call the police in their city. I do have two telephone numbers, one from the website and another from LILU from their second site. I hope you might be able to do something real soon, good luck, Janelle (Jemma's mum)
