Got a call on my cell phone, the number Dell has as a customer number. They claimed to be authorized Windows people and through the registry on my computer they could see I had been infected and unless I cleaned it up they would cut me off from the internet. I resisted, and finally refused to buy their "protection" and somehow they made my screen go blank, as if they'd somehow shut me off from the internet.in the end, I bought the $39.00 "protection package" but now I suspect they own my computer.
