I don't know if this is the sort of complaint that you deal with but I have been living here for 3yrs. And Avesta Homes just recently purchased this and several other apartment complexes. My a. C unit went out Sat. Morning and I called the emergency maintenance number and I was told that someone would be out soon to check it.in the mean time it is 82 degrees in my apartment and I am on oxygen and shouldn't be in the heat. I called maintenance several times and they are telling me I am on the list and they have to take the calls as they come in. I understand that. It got to be 4:30 -5:00 on Sat and I'm getting desperate now as it is very hot. I opened my windows to see if I could get any air and about 5:15 maintenance called me and said they were on their way. When the guy got here he said man it is hot in here. He went outside and checked the unit and came back in. He said your air is working fine it is blowing. I agree yes it is blowing hot air it is not cold at all. He said well I think it needs coolant but I'm not the a. C tech. I don't know where he is and he has the gauges. He told me he would keep calling him and he could come charge it when he got back. I was still keeping my temper at this time. I waited until about 7:30 and I called emergency maintenance again. The guy that answered said mam there is nothing we can do to help you. We sent a tech out and he said your air is working fine but you have the windows open and you are sitting there smoking cigarettes and that is why it is hot in here. First off If I was doing that it has nothing to do with the ac unit and I don't smoke cigarettes anyway! I couldn't hold my temper any longer. I told him I don't even smoke cigarettes and he said well someone in your apt. Smokes. He then proceeded to tell me that they have pictures of me sitting in my apt. Smoking and I can view them tomorrow in the rental office. Then he said we tried to get to you today but we were so busy I'm sorry it will be tomorrow before we can check your ac. I started calling this morning again. They sent a different guy he said the same thing and he said it was because the windows are open and because it is set on 75. So I turned it down to 65 and guess what it is still 82 degrees in here. The guy they sent this morning said yes it needs to be charged, and the ac tech is at church I will send him when he gets home. About 30 min. Later the "the ac tech" came and believe it or not it was the same guy from the day before. The one who told the lies. I told him to get out of my house. I have a lease and there is supposed to be ac. If you can't help me would you please direct me in the right place. Thank You Glendora Tarman - (Personal Information Removed)
