Used dating website; match.com a UK based company, lured men by saying she was looking for a man between 50 - 65 years for company and or a possible long term relationship.
Once contact was made via the dating website, more personal details were exchanged, like email address etc; from here they butter you up, make promises they are genuine single person, once married, and divorced.
When they have gained your trust, she then said (in my case) she was an only child, her mother had recently died, her mother was a business woman who resided in New Zealand, her mother had paid $3.5 million dollars and placed an order for a liquid sugar for Diabetes, all documentation looked very authentic, order for sugar with CSR Sugar refinery, lawyers receipt showing payment for $6,000.00 paid by her for the Malaysian lawyers to register the order in her name as mother was deceased, could i loan her the balance of $3,500.00 to payout the lawyers and claim the order placed by her mother.
Then she upped the anti and said there was a tax required of $13,500.00 and could i arrange a loan of $100,000.00 to transport the sugar to Australia as she had a buyer there. I sent two lots of bank transfers totalling $3,300.00 then realised it was a scam.
I stopped sending any more money, contacted the Lawyers in Malaysia who said they did not have such a case on file, did not know any such person and told me the stationary was a fraud, they said they would report it to the Malaysian Fraud squad, by now there was no more contact from Ms. Andrew and she disappeared from the face of the earth.
I was so gullable to have sent the money without checking with the company's on the fake documentation... Now I know always to check every detail of documnetation, ring the people involved before parting with my hard earned money.
