Met young handsome man, claims he was american from Albany NY. Started contact from BP, then he closed account. Exchanged telephone numbers, and email addresses. His was taylor. [email protected]. He was very romantic, said all the right things, sent beautiful messages and video songs from You tube to me. Told me wife had cheated on him in marriage and had a child from another man, who he raised believing the child was his. Proven not so by DNA. States to have 1 daughter, called Stephanie which was proven by DNA to be his. Divorced now 5 yrs. Haven't dated since he was so badly hurt. Very soon started saying things like, he couldn't see a future without me, he is so happy now, we were going to be married in the future, and the list went on. He would call several times in the day and the night to chat. He allowed me to speak to his mother, by the way he was from Haiti. His mother was so happy that her son had found happiness and thank me. He then disclosed one day, that his father an international business man, now decease, had left him an inheritance in Malaysia which was in securites and needed to be claimed before they went to the government. He had to pay US$ 42,000.00 to the security company for handling the money for his dad. His inheritance was US$ 1.5 million. He had to get himself a Malaysian lawyer who he paid, but had to find another $5000.00 for a court document before the cheque could be released. Friends and even his mechanic contributed to this, but he was still $1200 short. Then there was the searching at the airport, finding the cheque by the customs who charged him $14,000.00 federal tax, before he could be released. Again friends came to the rescue, car was sold at a low price to help etc, but he was still short of the amount. Again I helped. Then his passport and ticket was stolen, while trying to send an email to me, the US embassy was giving him emergency travel documents at a cost of $600.00 and the airline was changing $200.00. We was planning to met at JFK airport, we would spend time together, etc, but of course he was stuck inflight from Malaysia, diverting through Netherlands, when he was held up again, and the cheque taken off him. He gave me a fictious home address in Albany, when I eventual made contact with him, and confronted him, he just asked if I went there. The lies went on, he said he had sent his mother to New Jersey to see if she could get him some help, and he would get her to call me. Which of course she never did. I don't think that she was his mother, more like is partner, who acted very well.
Money was sent by Western Union on four occasions, and collected by him. He stated that his name was Benson Taylor. His lawyer was a fake, so too was his malaysian addresses, and temporary Malaysian cel #. 603 698 36274
NY cel# 15187956890. This just constantly rings now, and goes into voice mail. I am sure he can see who is calling. I feel that he lives in Malaysia with false identity, how else would he have been able to collect his money from W U.
I do feel cheated and foolish. Have always credited my self for having good instincts, and common sense, I just don't know what happen in that short period of time. Would like to meet this man face to face and just spit right there, in his face. I wonder if he evers feels any guilt?
