Starting with the 2009 tax year, the IRS said the father of my children were not his and he did not support us. The father of my children and I never married. I have always carried the kids on my taxes. I am not working for the last 3 years so he took the kids in 2009 and 2010 and 2011. The IRS took our refund for 2010 and 2011 and wants 2009's refund repaid back to them. I have sent tons of paperwork to them as proof and now they are too lazy to go through all the paperwork and sort out what is what. But for 2011 they agreed the kids were his so they kept the refund to apply to whats owed from 2009 and 2010. Why are the kids his in 2011 and not 2009 and 2010? With the 4 of us in we were even on food stamps. The state of Florida knows all of us lived together and that isnt even good enough! The thing is we moved every year in January. So since we did that the IRS says he didn't support the kids. There is so much to explain and our refunds dont equal to $10,000 or more so no lawyer will touch it. Its the IRS really ripping us off and they cant get away with this!
