Credit One Bank Las Vegas
Credit One Bank P.O. Box 98873 Las Vegas, NV 89193 Internet 89193United States of America I was billed for a $75 annual fee and I had not activated a card because I decided that I did not want this card after reading their high fees and interest

I recieved an application in the mail for the Credit One Bank card, I thought that they were associated with Capital One so I filled out the application and mailed it in. I needed to pay off my child's braces, and I wanted to make smaller monthly payments rather than the $250 payments that I was making to the orthodontist. When I got the card in the mail I immediatly realized that this was a mistake to have applied for this card, after reading their terms. I cut the card up and threw it away. The following month I was billed from Credit One Bank for $25, then billed agin last month for $25. I sent in the payments, thinking that I was paying my Capital One bill (a big mistake, but Credit One Bank looks very much like Capital One, which is another one of their clever deceptions) I started thinking that this bill was odd, so I called their 1-800 number, and I got a automated voice prompt telling me to activate my card. I tried to get around it because I did not want to activate the card, but I was not able to navigate around the activation prompt. You literally cannot talk to an agent until you activate the card, so this was coercion. I had to call back in order to talk to an agent. I told the agent that I was billed for an annual fee even though I had not wanted the card, and had cut it up and disposed of it, and had not actived it until forced to do so by their system setup. The agent acted unconcerned and said, "Well, you sent in the application, didn't you?" I said yes, but simply sending in an application should not mean that you accept their terms. So even though I decided not to accept their terms and conditions, they immediatly billed me $75 even though I did not activate their card. I have now read all of the online complaints about this company and have learned that they also do many other unscrupulous things, the worse being that you can't seem to cancel this card, so you are more or less stuck with paying these extortionists their excessive fees. I am going to attempt to cancel the card, but I have read other complaints from others who tried to cancel the card, and upon cancelling, find additional charges added to their accounts, so they can keep you or should I say force you to stay enslaved to their scam. I hope that legal action will be taken against them, and I will support any such legal action. What they are doing has to be illegal, and they need to be shut down.
