I had been approved for this card because I needed to reestablish my credit after a bankruptcy. When I received it, I was aware of the fees the the $50 available credit. I said no problem. I will make a $20 payment to activate it.
When I called the number, a foreign operator told me that my card has been closed and it was over the limit. I asked her how the hell could I be over the limit if my card was never activated. She never had given me an answer. A few days later, I received a letter stating that I had requested to cancel the card, which is not true.
I was in the process of making a payment to activate the card. And then a few days later, I received a bill stating that I owe $358. My credit limit was $300. It turns out that the had double billed me $150 annual fee twice and $29 opening fee twice that had placed my card over the limit. I never even used the card. So I called them up and told them that I wasnt going to pay this and that they better cancel my account or I will take legal action.
