When I recieved Orchard Bank credit card application 09/04 and that I was prequalified. I did fill out the application and came back with a card in mail and limit of $300.00 10/04.
They took out $59.00 from my checking account which I was floored not knowing there was annual fee. I never activated the card till 03/20/06 I called to tried activate it. They told me I had a outstanding balance of $194.74 which I wasnt aware of. It contains another annual fee and late fees. They said they need $90.00 today and they will than activate the card for me to use. I feel I dont owe them nothing when I never activated the card than and now.
It hurts my credit when I'm trying to build it up not down. I wanted my wife to talk to them and they wanted her full name and SSN # which was a sure red flag knowing I was being scamed. Whats the next step anyone can help me, I'd appreciate it.
