Sad news for all gardeners who sometimes mail order plants or bulbs. Brecks is no longer Brecks. Look at the fine print. Brecks made a tragic mistake and is now GARDENS ALIVE doing business as Brecks. Brecks is also affiliated with Spring Hill Nursery. We have been scammed before by both Gardens Alive (microscopic plants) and Spring Hill Nursery (tiny plants or roots barely alive). Their main method is that they will never advertise the size of the plants, or roots, or tiny tubers, that they are going to send you. You order based on the photographs and they send you tiny plants not worth half of what you paid. So we ordered from Brecks and knew there was something wrong immediately. The plants were totally unsatisfactory, tiny, not worth a dollar each but we were charged $5 for junk we would never have paid for if we saw it on display at a local nursery. So, check it out yourself. Brecks is no longer Brecks. The scam artists at Gardens Alive and Spring Hill Nursery are going to get you using the traditional name of Brecks.
