I initially went to the site to find out about their Hebrew language services. The internet was plastered with positive reviews (posted by them) and no negative reviews (I should have been suspicious) and I figured I would give it a shot. Immediately I had a pop up with a person trying to get my name, number and email. I tried to ask the individual questions right then, during the chat, but as soon as I gave him my number the chat ended. I received a call within minutes and had a lovely chat with a very pushy Israel sales person. Two hours after signing up I thought better of it. I didn't like how quick they were to get my information. I didn't like how pushy they were. I also didn't like how expensive the services were. I called and cancelled two hours later. Even though I cancelled everything I was still charged nearly $300 plus taxes for the international transaction—which I won't be getting back because they claim those taxes were charged by my bank (that's a blatant lie.) When I called to cancel the person I spoke with told me that a representative would be calling me later to finalize everything. She sent me an email confirmation of my cancellation. That was good. What wasn't good was how impossible they make it to reach them. They called as early as a bit before 6 am, my phone is not on. Whenever I missed their calls I would call them back right away but when I did I always reached someone who told me that they would take a message and a representative would be calling me later. Why is it that nobody could resolve the matter? Why do they have loads of people to answer phones but only a handful who can deal with the actual refund? If they boast of having people to help you with the language at all hours why is it they don't have people who can help you cancel your account and process refunds at hours later than 2pm in the afternoon? Whenever they asked for a good time to call me and I told them I never received calls at that time. Sometimes I wouldn't receive a call at all that day. No matter how many times I called a day not a single person could help me. Finally, a week after cancelling I spoke with someone. All she did was confirm verbally with me that I wanted to cancel and not sign up for other classes. I wasted all that time for a 5 minute phone conversation! She told me that I would receive a full refund but that the tax charges were non-refundable because they didn't charge me that, my bank did. When I asked my bank about that they said that they didn't charge me and that it was on eTeacher Group's end. I don't know if I will see a refund quite honestly. They sent me an email telling me that they've processed the refund and that my bank has the funds it just might take 6 days for my bank to give me that money. My bank doesn't have that money. I checked. After a bit of research I have found all kinds of similar stories. Some people have their entire bank accounts drained. I think these people are operating like a scam. I think people should know that these people are not to be trusted.
