Received a call in April from a company offering to help reduce credit card interest rate for a one-time charge of $899. I OK'd it, received paperwork, and then was unable to reach the company. Paperwork identifies it as Associated Accounting of Florida, based in Port Saint Lucie, FL. Further, I got a voicemail from the company, asking if I got the paperwork and telling me that there was a "glitch" on their end, that the $899 charged would be refunded, and then charged again. Of course, the refund was not made and I was charged $899 again, on top of original $899. On my statement, charging firm was listed as a company in upstate New York called Logic Works, which also does credit counseling but claimed to know nothing of Associated Accounting of Florida.
