Samsung Stratosphere screen cracked just sitting in my coat pocket

I have had my phone for 4 months. The phone was in my coat pocket and i was 50 feet away. I heard the phone and picked it to see the message. The screen was cracked. It was working when I put it in my coat pocket. They say it is my fault. The touch screen that I touch is fine. The internal screen is cracked. They won't do anything and there are thousands of people with the same problem. Samsung needs to step and recall the phone.
