I was contacted by a company stating they represented Microsoft and that my software warranty had expired. They told me numerous error messages were going to cause my computer to crash and that I should purchase a three-year service program to keep my computer up to date. Their website was very convincing, they even used the Microsoft logo. They took control of my computer and "cleaned" it up. Unfortunately I fell for the scam and just want to warn as many people as possible to avoid falling into the same trap.
