Noticed an electronic check withdrawal of 29.95, printed the echeck out and saw Alliance listed. Contacted them and was told that they are a collection group for hundreds of companies. Claimed they just process the payment of something made from a Demibox, online payment. I NEVER give my checking account number for any reason or order. Only credit or debit cards. Very concerned that they had my account number along with routing info. Chase immediately refunded the charge, but i had to close my account. What a pain. We are in the process of purchasing a new home and i wonder if maybe that had something to do with the timing of this. Maybe with the broker shopping our info for with various lenders...
