Store Refused to Take Back Returned Camcorder Battery

I went into store bought a battery for my camcorder and found out it was returned useless battery and took it back the store and they were very rude and ignorant and refused to take it back and would not even discuss it, they told me to contact the sony company and let them handle it but I believe that it was switched at the Best Buy store
