Scottsdale Recovery Center, LLC will make it quite clear you will not get your $4000.00 back once you pay to get a loved one entered into their treatment program.
They state on their Website and I quote "What Happens After a Relapse: In the unfortunate event of a relapse, the resident agrees that all finances are forfeited including security deposits. There are no refunds but we will credit your return back into our facility if you choose to come back."
DONT BELIEVE THIS. My son called them after his relapse and they claimed they had no beds available. Then they told me I would have to pay another $4000.00.
The Director of Operations VIOLATED CONFIDENTIALITY and probably HIPAA Laws by telling someone outside their workplace, that my son had entered the facility. Although they can kick your loved one out for sharing confidentiality, they do not have to do the same. Once again, they ekkp you r money for that VIOLATION of PRIVACY.
My son spent a weekend, less than 48 hours, sleeping in their "sober house" He was detoxing off of heroin and on Sunday they wanted to take him to a state run detox center. He didn't want to go so he walked away.
The contract is vague. They don't state how much you are paying or what you get for that money. They do say SEVERAL TIMES you will not get a refund. They say this because ALMOST EVERYONE has a RELAPSE. They know you are going to lose your money. Great SCAM. Take advantage of you when your down and desprate to believe what they say and not what they do.
The owner is an ex-addict. He should know better but he is not in business of helping people get sober, if he was, my son would have been allowed to go back. He is in the business of MAKING MONEY. Remember that when you are at your lowest, crying and hoping these people really care. They don't. They are in the business of MAKING MONEY. No refund. Remember NO REFUND and it never states they will help you if you leave. They are liars and sales people.
