I answered the free gift advert as received by eMail pertaining to free sample jar of Pura Silk, only pay for postage. Nothing in the advert, said anything about the fact that when the jar was duly delivered that you were tying yourself to a monthly shipment of Pura Silk at a price of £74.95 a month.
As instructed on the enclosed letter, I could cancel within 14 days and return the so-called free sample.
I phoned the number given and spoke to a young lady who after several minutes of convincing me I was getting a bargain, finally realised I wanted to cancel.
I was advised to return the free-sample, and given a return number to put on the front of the parcel along with the return address, (which I posted the following day) and was assured by the young lady everything was cancelled.
And no further money would be taken from my account.
Of course, when I checked my bank account on March 15th, the amount of £74.95 has been deducted from my account, and no sign of the Pura Silk supply.
I have been to my bank this morning, and they have cancelled any further payments being taken out of my account, and are contacting the company to claim a full refund???
This I fully doubt. I have tried contacting the so-called Pura Silk customer care phone number (020-3514-9445) only for it to ring twice then abruptly cut off.
I am going to pursue this further, but I would like to warn anyone not to get caught up is this SCAM. Because that is all it is.
