Telefund calls me from (512) 916-0420 multiple times per day, every single day, and has for weeks. This is despite my repeated requests to stop calling me, which have not worked. I have been on the Do Not Call list for years and filed multiple FTC complaints. Most recently, I have contacted my state's and Texas's state Attorney General.
They variously pretend to represent Democrat organizations and are obviously lying. Once they claimed to represent Planned Parenthood, obviously a lie since I donate monthly to Planned Parenthood and have for more than a decade, and they would never approach an existing donor in this manner. As I probed, they were obviously lying, becoming evasive, not having answers to questions, and so on.
On another occasion, they actually claimed to represent the Obama campaign and asked for a $50/month donation. Again, I also happen to be an existing monthly donor to the Obama campaign at more than that level, so this just didn't make sense. I again probed and the person on the phone was evasive. I reported this nonsense to the official Obama campaign and they assured me that they have absolutely no relationship with Telefund.
All a long way of saying that Telefund makes fraudulent claims and absolutely does not represent the organizations they claim to (though I suspect a Republican/right wing one is behind them, given my particular experiences and their focus on trying to defraud and steal from people in the name of Democrat-appealing organizations).
