Apparently we were contacted in August to send an invoice based on a our name being placed in the American Business Source Directory Internet Toll-Free Directory. Don't know if they said it was a 2-year subscription or not as the person they contacted is no longer here. We never received this publication.
This past June I was contacted by someone in their Customer Service department and said that we had a two-year subscription and needed to verify our address so that they could send us an invoice. I gave them the address since I was unfamiliar with how this was set up and it sounded like we needed to pay for the second year.
I called back again to cancel this order and was told that the order was already in and this was the second installment of a two-year subscription. The first invoice showed that it was a 1-year listing and the second invoice we received said it was for 2-years of listing. I started to question this whole thing and did some checking on the internet to see if this was truly a real company and found out that others have been ripped-off by this company also.
I wrote to them stating that we would not ba paying this invoice and to immediately credit this invoice and stop communicating with our firm. I'm hoping that this will take care of this issue. If anyone else has had similar experiences, I would like to know.
