In June I received a call from AmeriSource Publications stating our yellow page ad needed to be renewed. I asked if this was the local telephone directory ad and the operator indicated that it was. When I later received a bill for $299.95, I called the company and found out it was and Ad in the American Business Source Directory and not the yellow pages locally.
I refused to pay the invoice and called their customer service phone number and made that very clear to the operator stating I never authorized an advertisement in this directory. The operator said this was the second half of payment for the subscription and payment of this invoice would close my account. Therefore, I paid the bill in Sept. 2003.
Today, Sept 30, I am in receipt of another bill from Ameri-Source stating I have authorized another years subscription. This is not true and I am not going to pay them another $299.95.
I have never seen a directory showing my advertisement and I have been fooled for the last time by this company. They seem to be masters at ripping people off and not providing any proof of doing what they claim the $300 dollar fee is supposed to pay for.
I for one hope the Better Business Bureau closes them down.
