I had a call from Master Card Fraud and Security Dept. Requesting me to contact them urgently. When I did, they asked me about a purchase done online to this Singapore company. I had never heard of this company before and checked my previous month's credit card statement. Swiss Clear Global PTE had put through a charge against my card for the first time in March and thank goodness Master Card detected that something wasn't right with the purchase and contacted me. They have now cancelled my card to prevent future purchases and are sending out a new card. A quick online search indicates that this company has done this to a numerous people. How they got all the credit card info and security number is a mystery. Master Card says that sometimes these frauds start off with small amounts of money as a test and then the amount goes up. I'm glad they caught it. Be careful out there and check your statements monthly and to be on the safe side, check the small purchases too to ensure they are authorized.
