I just caught an email about the Android smartphones and charges incurred on customers phone bills that the consumer was unaware of or that the consumer thought was a valid charge but thought they'd pay less for.

Well, the "third party charges" are not just strictly on the Android phone. I have a Windows smartphone with AT&T and when I noticed my bill was much higher than it normally was, I called complaining and trying to get to the bottom of the matter.
That actually did me no good since the girl I talked to said that they've been getting calls about this quite often and there wasnt anything they could do to take the charges off... Or anything they could do to find out what the charges were from so I could investigate into the matter myself. They said it was a 3rd party service charge and that the only thing they could do was block any apps like that from being accepted on my phone&WHICH WASNT DONE EITHER!!! -So not only was my complaint not documented properly, the matter wasnt solved, questions remain unanswered... And I was refused any kind of compensation for the troubles!

If there is any kind of class action concerning this, I would definitely want to be a part of it, thats rediculous!!! I had to pay for something and I have NEVER ordered anything from any site! I go to the Windows phone apps website and only download apps that say they are in the free category. If I have to pay extra for something, I dont need it, so I would never knowingly do that.
So mad!!!
