I had my Mercury 90HP outboard motor serviced at Mandurah Outboards, Standard service, filters, water pump impeller, gearbox oil etc. The first time that I used the boat after the service the outboard leg came off the outboard after only 20 minutes use. I took the outboard back to Mandurah outboards seeking an explanation and what they intended to do to fix the problem, only to be abused by the owner Karen claiming that this was not their fault and that someone must have tried to steal the leg whilst it was locked up in my back yard. They only agreed to fix it after consumer affairs became involved, and the day before the first court date. The constant abuse and poor customer service from challenge marine and Mandurah outboards is disgusting.
I only wish I had found this website prior to getting to the outboard serviced. Would have saved a lot of pain, and i would have had my boat over Summer, instead of parked up for three months fighting it out.
Do yourself a favour and stay well clear of these sharks
