12/18 I bought two magic jack plus units for 154.95 on 1/24 I registered one of the units to transfer my phone number from my current carrier to magic jack for an additional charge of 20.95. I tried to activate the magic unit on 2/5 and was told that it would take 5 -10 business days. After more than ten (10) business days I contacted magic jack for assistance and was cut off by their live chat tech. Support three times when they could not fix the problem. I found the phone number to contact them by phone buried in my order records. (It was not clearly listed as a phone number) I have been hung up on twice today. I told them that I wanted to return the units and they told me that I was essentially stuck with them and could not get a refund even though they did not work as advertised and also as advertised I could not get my guaranteed satisfaction refund. Needless to say I am highly up-set to be told that they were not going to honor their promise. And even more up-setting is that I now have to transfer my number back to my old carrier or find someone else. Magic Jack plus was advertised to be used with or without the computer. This is not true and magic jack should be forced to stop telling people that it can be used without the computer or fix the problem. Also money back guarantee should be just that or not at all.
