It popped up on my screen as microsoft windows antivirus

My computer locked up and Microsoft Windows Antivirus popped up on the screen. I thought this was something that I needed and bought it. After I downloaded it, my computer would not do anything and is infected with viruses. This monstrocloud is what came up on my checking account statement as to where my payment went.
