We dealt with GC Marketing and a lady out of the Boston office, who is now in charge of the office in Charlotte NC. She committed to sponsoring a charity event for a charity that raises money for the homeless.
We had an agreement with them 6 months out. 3 weeks before the event, they had yet to make any payment to any of the business involved with the event and the event had to be cancelled. They screwed several business out of money and left myself with a bill of $3100 to handle with one of the celebrity talents of the event. I couldn't imagine why people like the Carolina Panthers and Boston Bruins would do business with these people. Who lies about sending a check to the main parties involved for 2.5 months and then 3 weeks out says "if you keep pushing us, we'll pull out completely!"
When I tried to get things done, I was cussed out and blasted via email from the lady who is not only in charge of the Charlotte office but the offices from Va to Fl. How I ask do you put that kind of person in charge of such large clients and let her treat people the way she does.
She once bragged how a client told her a week out that "the event better be a success or you're fired". At the time I thought the client was out of line. I know understand exactly why they were upset. They were no doubt treated like I was.
I didn't think people with that bad of an attitude and hatred for their fellow man existed, but this lady is a piece of work. Beware if of GC Marketing if they have other "regional managers" or managers in general working for them like her.
