Mary Novell hired us for her New Years Eve charity fund raiser. Funds were supposed to go to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. She does not know how to market, because very few people attended her event. Over promise and under deliver. However, there were enough people there for her to pay her vendors, but she kept the money from that night, and did not donate any of it to charity.
She complimented us on a job well done, asked for help with future events, and wrote us a check that night and asked us to wait three business days so the funds would clear her account. The next morning, she placed a stop a STOP PAYMENT on her check! I took her and Audrey Washington (Co-organizer of the event) to court where they admitted they owed the money, had no excuses for not paying, and agreed to make installment payments. However, she never made a single payment.
Mary Novell is a person to avoid doing any business with because she has no honor, nor credibility, lacks ethics, does a terrible job of marketing, does not pay her vendors and deceives people by claiming events are for charity when she is only lining her own pockets.
