This company advertised as a marketing firm that put on events for non-profit organizations. I am student and was looking for an internship, and they offered me a marketing internship to work on events and promote non-profit organizations. They described themselves as maximizing marketing potential to clients and that they were trying to expand their marketing share. They glamorized it and explained that a lot of young people worked there and that I would be gaining real marketing experience.
The first day they take out new employees to get to see what its like. I was excited, I was going to help out at an event. We went to wal-mart, stood outside for eight hours in 90 degree weather selling make-up.
All the job was, was to sell products either make-up or toys outside business at a little table. Less than 5% of sales went to the charity.
The retention rate of employees was about 1% and everyone that was there when I started, had quit by the time I left. They are liars and rip you off!
