I had two timeshares that I needed to get rid of, one in PA and one in FL.
I did not have the deed to the PA one but I was informed that wouldn't be a problem (Big mistake).
I had the one for FL and that one was transferred O.K. Together, I paid $6990.00 to have both deeds transferred.
The PA deed was not transferred, they didn't even pay the Maintenance fee that they assured me they would and for which the account was put in the hands of a collection agency.
I paid a lawyer to try and get my money back $2995.00 but with no success.
My daughter who is my Power of Attorney eventually phoned the PA Timeshare and arranged to have them take back the property and waiving the unpaid Maintenance fees. I no longer own the Timeshare.
I would like to alert everybody to the fact that it IS POSSIBLE to donate the deed back in some instances WITHOUT paying shysters to take them off your hands!
