THIS HAS CROOKED WRITTEN ALL OVER IT: In order to boost year-end profits, Verizon wireless has devised a scheme to overcharge their customers currently on limited data plans to get them to upgrade to their higher data/more expensive plans. Here's how it works; if you are on a limited data plan like 150MB per month, but only use a fraction of that amount (like only 49MB), Verizon will force downloads onto your phone by an outrageous amount (upwards of 800MB extra), forcing you to call them. Once you call them, they stonewall you by not giving specifics about what/why you went over, but tell you that you will be charged a large amount for going over UNLESS you upgrade your data usage to their higher/more expensive data usage plans. They will try to make it sound like they are doing you a favor by saving you the money, but in all actuality is a well-planned/executed bait and switch in order to increase their year-end profits.
