Consumer's Original Complaint:
This complaint is against carvinhistory.com, without any address or location available except that it is a Utah company. It is available on the web only. Their customer Phone number is 888-613-1485This action is in conjunction with advice from the Well's Fargo Dispute Resolution Department, and involves a fraudulent credit card charge. November 11 via the above web site, I attempted to receive a vin report on an automobile I had purchased. I understood the charge would be $2.95. They responded that no information was available for that vehicle for some unknown and fictitious reason. Therefore I received no report for the $2.95. My credit card was charged $ 2.95 for this non-service. I ordered no other service nor did I register with the company on November 11 nor make any other contact with that company after the November 11 date, yet on November 15, I found a charge for $29.95 dated November 15 against my credit card. I ordered no service and received no service for the fraudulent $ 29.95 charge. I contacted the company and they indicated I had registered with the company, (Which I had not), and the charge was a monthly fee against my credit card. They indicated that no refund or credit against my credit card would be made. I asked to speak with a supervisor, and of course, none was available. The agent indicated that if I did not want the phantom service I had to cancel within 3 days. But, of course I did not know about the fraudulent charge till I received my credit card charges about 15 days later. I ordered no service, certainly received no service and demand the $29.95 fraudulent charge be credited my account. Please help, or advise additional action. Thank You. William Perusek
