They are advertising to give you a report of a car history based on the vin number of the car for only $2.95, but then they will charge you a $29.95 without informing you. The charge is not refundable after three days. The charge shows on your account after three days. I attempted to call their 800 number and only receive an initial voice recording and then just silence. No one ever came on the line. I finally called my bank to dispute the charge. Before doing the dispute, they offered to call for me. Surprisingly the company answered that call very quickly (must have known the incoming number was a credit card company number). I was able to then cancel, but was stuck with the $29.95 charge because he the representative said the monthly service fee was disclosed. You can go to the web side (www.carvinhistory.com) and see it yourself, where on the terms (www.carvinhistory.com/terms.html) was explained that you will be charged additional $29.95 and you have three days to cancel. There is no mention about $29.95 nor three days cancellation.
On top of all that, I think the actual report I received was bogus. I was also able to obtian a CarFax and it showed the car was in an accident in where their report showed no accidents.
