On May 7, a Ciarra Hadley came to my door selling magazines. It didn't occur to me to check to see if it was legit until after I had signed up to get a magazine, and paid cash for it. I immediately regretted it— the magazine was over-priced, and later that day, I became scared that the company wasn't real.
On the back of the slip, it said that I could cancel the transaction by sending a copy of the slip to a certain address within three days. So, I sent them the slip. Then, I got a card in the mail that said I would need to send a copy of my cancelled check to confirm payment—but I paid in cash! There is also no phone number to call and complain about this!
