Bought a pair of shoes off of their advertised promotion for $19.95. Received shoes, not told I was signing up for a "membership" when I checked out (if I was, why wasn't the $39.95 membership fee charged on my 1st invoice?). Received an email from them indicating I was automatically upgraded to "VIP" status, which costs $39.95 per month. I called on Nov. 1 to cancel my membership, they told me they did, but I was charged anyway. Got another email from them stating that they were going to charge me again, so I called my credit card company to cut them off from making any more unauthorized charges and to dispute the $39.95 they already charged me. I get hundreds of emails per week and none of the solicitations I get from real companies tell me that I have to buy something or be charged. This is false advertising and not a normal or customary way to do business. I also filed with the CA attorney general about the false advertising and inability to cancel my account with them.
