Captiol one send me a letter notifying me that my secured credit card application has been approved. Company requests that I send them monies before they mail me a credit card. I sent the monies and the credit card company reports that the address that the card was to be sent to was invalid. The company then tells me that they never received payment when I called them over the telephone and I need to provide payment first. When I provided them with confirmation and reference number they began hanging up the telephone and disconnecting my calls to them. Most recently they told me that they do not have an application on file for me and that I should stop calling harassing them. Finally I spoke with some one and they stated that it will take ninety days to refund. I called my financial institution to notify them of the [consumer fraud] and they are taking the proper steps to investigate the already obvious ripoff and [pigeon drop scam].
