We had Lingo as home phone service for 2 -3 years until about a month ago. Then a lightning strike destroyed their equipment and trying to get it replaced was so difficult and their representative so manipulative that we chose to cancel and go with Vonage, who had better prices anyway. Now, Lingo has continued to charge my bank account although we have neither their equipment nor their service and also no contract. Neither my husband nor I have had any success getting them to refund the money and despite hours on the phone and physical suffering; ie high blood pressure, stress hormones, etc. I'm so angry that I'm ready to close said bank account - it's with BofA, another corrupt corp - but truly I'm completely fed up with spending my time and money defending myself from rapacious business practices!
