To "Heartless A*holes" at the Denver Post —
I placed an obituary for my daughter last week — it was about 30 lines or so with a picture and the cost was nearly $600 — when I looked at the paper today... I determined that a single obituary page is about $25,000 in revenue to the paper — and I doubt that is what you charge the folks that put their crappy ads in your paper. Perhaps it does not matter in the end — as media is changing and you and your "friends" will be out of business in the next 5-10 years — however in the interim, I think it is criminal that you take advantage of bereaved families with this elitist approach to obituaries. I truly regret calling you my hometown paper — additionally... Expect this same note posted in many places around the web as I think it is a key point which should cause people to reevaluate you as a community sponsor — you have both a lack of compassion and soul.
