To "Heartless * " at the Denver Post — I placed an obituary for my daughter last week. It was about 30 lines or so with a picture and the cost was nearly $600! When I looked at the paper today, I determined that a single obituary page is about $25,000 in revenue to the paper and I doubt that is what you charge the folks that put their * ads in your paper. Perhaps it does not matter in the end. As media is changing and you and your "friends" will be out of business in the next 5-10 years. However in the interim, I think it is criminal that you take advantage of bereaved families with this elitist approach to obituaries!
I truly regret calling you my hometown paper. Additionally, expect this same note posted in many places around the web as I think it is a key point which should cause people to reevaluate you as a community sponsor. You have both a lack of compassion and soul.
