I signed up for their free report to evaluate it with the right to cancel their other reports (gold stock advisor, financial intelligence report, franklin prosperity report). Upon reading the sample reports, i found that most of their advise was bordering upon gross speculation and not worth paying for.
I immediately sent back their letters which advertised the right to cancel any further reports from them, with "cancel" written across the front via certified mail; however, within 4 days, the charge of $49.95 for the franklin prosperity report appeared on my september charge card bill, then on the following month's bill i was charged $99.00 for the gold stock adviser.
Since i am a long time member of usaa, and i use their credit card, i had called them to treat the franklin charge as fraudulent and to not pay them. They so did that. I contacted usaa again today to advise that the charge for gold stock advisor was also fraudulent and to not pay them. They again so did that and also issued me a new credit card with a different number so as to prevent them from processing further charges.
I tried several times to call their advertised customer service number, 800-485-4350, to direct them to cease charging me, but am not able to contact them.
