I responded to an add i saw on tv. I thought because it was on tv it was legit. My husband and i called the number and after answering a bunch of questions the rep said he would let us know if we would be qualified for the remodifacation program, he said that very few people are excepted because they make sure that they are able to help the ones that are. My husband and i were praying that we would be and when he called back and said we qualified we were so happy. We were told that our loan would be cut dramatically. We just had to pay $1500 up front and two payments of $800. We told them we couldnt afford that and pay our $1600 morgage payment and they basically said that our modification would go through better if we were behind on our payments, so in other words they hinted that we should pay them instead to get things going. We paid them the money and havent heard anything from them since then. We have gotten numerous calls from our lender about foreclosore. I have been trying to contact them for over a month by email and phone and no response. I called my bank to see what I can do and they said the money went to a credit agency so theres nothing they can do to recover it. Now we are 3 months behind on our morgage and out of thousands of dollars.
