I bought dropleaf table from Brick with 4 chairs in Winnipeg, Mb, 1065 St. James Street. When I bough table I was told that assembly will be done by the Brick and is the part of the service that Brick provide for customers who spend more then $2000. When table was delivered I was told that they don't do assemlby and that I have to phone to the Brick. So I did and I was told that I have to phone to Carl who does assembly for Brick. I was charge $80 for that. After a few months I decide to invite friend to supper. I served soup and as I took spoon to eat my hand lean on table and part of dropleaf table drop and my soup went all over the floor. The piece of wood that was holding dropleaf table broke into half. Next day I phone to the customer service and I was told that I probably had something heavy on my table. I want to think that they are not applying to my weight since I am skinny but to the bowl of soup. Because a plate might be too heavy for the quality of the table that the Brick is selling. After a few days man from the Brick came to my home took the picture and left. After about week I was called by customer representative from Brick and ask for serial number so they can order the part. I guess it was too much work for man that Brick sent to take picture and write serial number. I gave number and she told me she will talk to the manager to see what to do and they will phone me back. Today is Feb 4 and 2 weeks since I talk to customer representative so I had to phone to them to see what's happening (or not). I was told it will take 4 to 6 weeks to part to come. Good thing I don't work on Friday and I have time to waste. It will be 3 months before if ever they fix my table. My question is how come they don't have table in stock that they can take piece from or how come they do not come and replace table since I just bough it???
Also I paid technician from their company (or the one they work with) to assembly the table. What else should I do... I guess never visit this store again...
